I went to the store to find a card for a friend of mine that has lost a child. As I searched the Sympathy section, (which I hate that word) I found all kinds of titles to look under.
For the Loss of A Mother
For the Loss of A Father
For the Loss of A Loved one
and the one that made me sick
For the Loss of a Pet
Your right, there was no title For the Loss of Your Child. Actually I take that back there was one card that was loss of a son but it wasn't a good one. I can't believe that the loss of pet comes before a child. Actually, it is none existent. I guess there are NO WORDS FOR IT because it is everyones worst nightmare.
I just want my friend to know I am thinking of her and her family. Love YOU!

I cannot believe that. Maybe we should start a business and make cards for the people who have to experience this pain and sadness. I think once you have been through it, you know what to say to others who are going through it too. I know you always know what to say to help me.
Well they say when you loose a spouse you are a widow, when you loose your parents you are an orphan, but when you loose a child there are just no words to describe it. I think it is true. I think that the people at "Hallmark" need to re-think their cards. Hope you find the words for your friend. Isn't is funny that even those of us who have lived it still don't know what to say to comfort others. (at least it is that way for me). Love to you today - Nicole - Mia's mom ^i^
No words count anyway just being there is the most important thing. After I lost Rhiannon I kind of just put up walls, no close friends, only my husband and kids. Then when I lost Loughlin I was really alone. I think just staying close is the most important thing.
I like the Millirons' idea. Pets...seriously?
