I'm sad to report that I will not be doing the mini-triathalon in Casa Grande on the 1st of November. My life is a little out of control and I need to get my priorities straight. My husband and I have been put into the Activities Chair in our ward. That's right we are in charge of the parties in our ward and yes it is crazy busy right now because it is just before the two biggest parties of the year. Therefore I have not been able to prepare myself the way I need to for the race. Frankly I have days that I don't even want to exercise or even function. We have been sick and there are just to many things going on that it just is not going to work.
I am still going to run the Turkey Trot! Those of you that don't know what it is, It is a 10k run! I have done it once before and I have to say I was not very fast but I did not stop the whole time and that was my goal. I really enjoyed it and I am looking forward to doing it this year! My run this year is in memory of Kamber and I feel I can do anything for my girls. Any that would like to participate come join the fun! You can run, walk, and even roller blade this event. I saw lots of people doing a little of everything, they even brought their kids along. So come with me if you would like! I am thinking of having shirts made but for now it is just a thought. Hope to see you there and enjoy a run in memory of a sweet girl who loved everyone.

I am learning some similarities between us. Although I don't think we've ever met (when my friends say I should remember you and Ethan from H.S.)...I think it's fun to see similarities. My husband and I serve as the head of our Ward Activities committee. Yes it's a busy time of year for sure....buckle up!!
And I also love races. I did my first sprint triathlon last year, the all women's SheROX in Tempe. It was a blast! I hoped to do more sooner, but I am pregnant, so next fall will be my prime season for races!!
I have never done the Turkey Trot, and would if I wasn't pregnant. But race hard, smile big, and fly through that race with your little angel!! Good luck with all of your adventures for the next few months.

I've always wanted to do the Turkey Trot. Something about being locked in and commited to running makes me have a slight panic attack. I think running for Kambe is an awesome idea. It's just the motivation that I need, to run for a reason, sweet Kamber. I want to do it!
How fun! Jared used to run the Turkey Trot...I wonder if he thinks he could handle it this year..Good luck!!!
So how far is a 10K? Little nervous to commit on anything more than 2 miles :o) but I would totally do it with you for Kamber! Maybe I can get Mindi to do it with me! I would by a t-shirt too!! Sounds like fun!
We would love to run for Kamber, count us in Jen. I think that is a wonderful idea. I am a horrible long distance runner but anything for Kamber. Just like Sarah said, the perfect motivation!
Jen-
I hope this continues to be an annual tradition for you because next year I would LOVE to join you and run (or walk briskly) for Kamber. I just gotta get to Arizona first!
Jeni
